Lal Singh Chaddha: Kareena Kapoor Khan To Romance Aamir Khan During The Film’s First Schedule In Punjab
Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha to go on floors on November 1 in Punjab, here are some interesting facts on the film’s storyline and the characters
Lal Singh Chaddha reunites Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan after 3 Idiots and Talaash, which are among two of the most memorable films that Bollywood has ever produced. Talking about Lal Singh Chaddha, it is an official adaptation of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump and will go on floors at the beginning of November in Punjab. And perfectionist Aamir Khan has been prepping hard for his role. Kareena Kapoor Khan, on the other hand, too, will be playing one of the most challenging roles of her career in this film.
The first shooting schedule of Lal Singh Chaddha will be based on the lead characters’ blossoming love story that took place in their college. A source close to the film’s production told Bollywood Hungama, “Kareena joins him in the first schedule in Punjab. She plays his best friend from childhood with whom he instantly falls in love and loves her right till the end. The first schedule will see both Kareena and Aamir’s characters in their younger days in school (played by child artistes) where they become friends and then college when they fall in love. Aamir has lost 20 kgs to play the younger version of Laal Singh Chaddha.”
Further, the source added that while Aamir Khan will essay a simple-minded man, Bebo’s character is going to be a lot more complex and multi-layered. Elaborating further on Kareena Kapoor’s role in Lal Singh Chaddha, the sourced added, “She has fought her own battles in life, seen ups and downs, and the more she gets hurt, the more self-destructive she becomes. But she loves Laal Singh. Kareena has not done a multi-layered character before and may even be seen as a hippie – a culture that flourished during the early 1970s. She keeps re-entering Laal Singh’s life at various times and they eventually get married.”
Lal Singh Chaddha has been written by Atul Kulkarni and is going to be directed by Advait Chandan, who is known for helming Secret Superstar. It is slated to hit the big screens on Christmas 2020.
